Group Runs Coming To Tempe

Starting Wednesday, January 3rd we'll be starting up group runs out of our new Tempe store. If you've never participated in our group runs this is a great time to get started. The group run schedule for Tempe will be:

  • Monday at 6:00pm: 4 - 6 miles on pavement and canal
  • Wednesday at 6:00pm: Track workout. Meet at the store and run a short warmup to the track.
  • Sunday at 7:00am: Long run predominantly on canal

"YO QUIERO CORRER!"

Every week, elite athlete Tim Meyer and his Chihuahua Paco join the SRC running group to log their weekly mileage along the canal and greenbelt. Tim is a local triathlete who has competed in multiple Ironman Triathlons. Paco has aspirations of competing in triathlons too. However until the Chihuahua edition TREK is available he'll keep logging running miles. Last April Tim carried Paco rim-to-rim through the Grand Canyon.

  • RAAM: Race Across America, a 3150 mile bike ride across the US
